Position Overview & Core Duties
This role focuses on the full spectrum of classic car service, restoration support, and performance upgrades. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Restoration disassembly and assembly
- Drivability diagnosis and tuning
- Electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
- American Autowire installations
- Dakota Digital dash installations
- LS engine conversions
- QA1 and related suspension installations
- Driveline and related services
You’ll work alongside experienced technicians on a variety of projects, from thorough mechanical work and electrical system upgrades to suspension and drivetrain updates that keep these cars driving and performing the way they should.
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has solid mechanical experience with classic or performance vehicles
- Is comfortable with electrical systems, wiring, and modern upgrades on older platforms
- Takes ownership of quality and attention to detail
- Enjoys working on cars from the 1950s–1970s and beyond
- Brings reliability, a good attitude, and a willingness to keep learning
Prior experience with the specific systems listed above is a strong plus, but a proven track record with classic cars and a passion for the work matter most.

About the Shop
Located at 1480 Buerkle Rd in Vadnais Heights, MN, Lugnuts Garage / Centerline Frame handles precision alignments, frame work, performance exhaust, custom fabrication, and full classic vehicle service. We’re a hands-on shop that values craftsmanship and real-world results on the cars we work on every day.
